Your imagination is the limit
Building in the world of AI
As AI models get better and better, and more advanced tooling gets built around them, the limit to what you can build is really starting to be limited by your imagination.
AI coding tools used to be pretty simple - a chat interface that generates code in a codebase. This was great for speeding up coding work such as debugging, writing boilerplate, refactoring, etc, but those were the main use cases.
Now, we have things like the Codex and Claude apps that have FAR more functionality. I’ll be using the Codex app as an example in this post since that’s what I usually use.
First is Computer Use. You could technically have multiple Codex apps running in the background while you can still use your computer which is insane. They even recently allowed it to use Chrome tabs without stealing control of the browser!

The other day, I had Codex use my Chrome browser via Computer Use to fully set up a GCP project as well as Google OAuth. I also had it control my iPhone via iPhone Mirroring and order a 4 pack of Monster via Uber Eats.

The next huge feature that exists in all of Cursor, Claude Code, and Codex apps, is Browser Use. The Codex app has 1 in-app browser per chat, powered by the same tech as ChatGPT Atlas. This unlocks so many capabilities, including automated testing, iterating on design, and optimising performance, and is especially powerful when combined with worktrees.

The third huge unlock lately has been all the plugins in all AI coding apps. I personally connect mine to Slack, Gmail, and Linear. Along with Codex’s memories feature and Chronicle where it has context of what’s on my screen, it has context on my day-to-day work and has become an all-in-one super-intelligent assistant.
All of these, combined with the fact that models have been getting insanely good, has shifted me towards thinking “what should I build” rather than “is this possible to build”.
The other day I randomly thought, what if I could see all of my Codex pets at the same time, so I just literally asked Codex that, and with the help of Computer Use for automated testing, Multi Codex Pets was built. I wanted a cat walking across my Codex app so I got it to build Codex Cat. I wanted Codex dictation working in any app, so I got it to reverse engineer the app’s dictation and built Codex Voice.
You can truly just build whatever you want nowadays.
Your imagination is the limit.
